11.00 Inauguration of Italy Stand with the Minister of Tourism – On. Daniela Santanchè and S.E. Italian Ambassador in the UK – H.E. Inigo Lambertini.
11.15 Press conference by the Minister of Tourism – On. Daniela Santanchè.
11.45 Tour of Italy stands by the Minister and other authorities.
14.00 Emilia Romagna Region: Grand Départ Tour de France 2024 – for the first time the Tour de France will start in Italy / In the footsteps of Guercino the baroque painter in Emilia Romagna.
15.30 Sicily Region: “Sicily’s aim at increasing off season tourism numbers, how and when”. Speakers: Ms Elvira Amata – Councillor for Tourism, Sport and Entertainment of the Sicily Region and Ms Maria; e Concetta Antinoro – Director General of the Department for Tourism, Sport and Entertainment of the Sicily Region.
17.00 Municipality of Rome – “Rome, the Capital of Great Events: enjoy sports, live music, fashion and culture!”. Speaker: Mr Alessandro Onorato – Councillor for Events, Tourism, Sport and Fashion of the Municipality of Rome.
TUESDAY 7 NOVEMBER– PIAZZA ITALIA – STAND N2-210
10.30 Piedmont Region & City of Turin: “Via Francigena for all”. Via Francigena, greenlight to the emotions of an accessible Piedmont. The general/central theme of the project is the enhancement of the Via Francigena and its ‘for all’ tourism proposal. The overall objective is to improve the offer for disabled people and their families, to make it more accessible, inclusive and sustainable. Speakers: Beppe Carlevaris – President of the Board of Directors of Visit Piemonte, and Marcella Gaspardone – Turismo Torino and its province Tourist Board.
12.00 Piedmont Region: “Connect Route development” – event in Piedmont in 2024 for development of aviation routes. Presentation of the 20th edition of “Connect Routes Development Forum” held in Turin in 2024 and news on Piedmont airport offer. Speakers: Beppe Carlevaris – President of the Board of Directors of Visit Piemonte, Director of Turin Airport, Anna Milanese – Cuneo Airport Director, Karin Butot – Ceo of The Airport Agency.

15.30 Municipality of Gerace (Calabria Region): “Why Gerace” – The Historical smart Villages as new tourist destinations in Calabria. Introduced by Salvatore Galluzzo – Mayor of Gerace, and Cosimo Caridi – Calabria Region Representative, followed by tasting of Calabrese delicacies and wines.
WEDNESDAY 8 NOVEMBER – PIAZZA ITALIA – STAND N2-210
11.30 Tuscany Region: “Discover Tuscany with other eyes: female and slow travel”. Speakers: Leonardo Marras, Tuscany Regional Minister for Tourism and Economy, will introduce the press conference about discovering Tuscany through female and slow travel, before speakers Francesco Tapinassi, Director of Toscana Promozione Turistica, Clara Svanera, Communications Manager and Female Tourism Representative, and Daniela Burrini, Destination Development and International Projects Toscana Promozione Turistica, join the stage to delve into unknown destinations in Tuscany and holiday activities dedicated to females in the region.
Tuscan appetizers and wine will follow after the conference.
